The Digital Self Project becomes the DigitalFriend software:

2004/2005: In 2004, on our second attempt, we were awarded a Telstra Broadband Grant to develop our concept of the Digital Self (in turn based on the Psychology of Subselves), into a new generation of software development system, based on the Shadowboard Agent Architecture (a blueprint). Rather than call the product ShadowBoard, or its original name, The Digital Self we called it the DigitalFriend. The Shadowboard Agent Architecture eminated from the recent computer science thesis by our CEO, as follows: Goschnick, S.B. (2001). Note: The DigitalFriend is currently used in-house as a People-Oriented Programming (POP) Integrated Development Environment (IDE). It includes a built-in logic language interpreter called CoLoG, with some constraint programming features.

2012/2014: The ShaMAN agent architecture is a new architecture that is a considerable superset over and beyond the ShadowBoard agent architect. Indeed, the name ShaMAN is short for ShadowBoard Multi-Agent Networks architecture. I.e. where ShadowBoard was for a sophisticated Digital Self agent, ShaMAN is for a network of such sophisticated Digital Selves. It is based on research for a PhD and is titled: Drawing on Task and Information Analyses for an Enhanced MAS, Informed by Computer Games
